Doing something you enjoy and have fun doing.
This is the biggest killer of staying in shape and motivation.
If you do not have fun in the process, than you feel it will be a bigger chore than it is. When your doing something fun, you do it as much as you want and more and put more effort into it.
Plus, being with someone, like a workout buddy,
really helps and challenging
goodluck and
cheers

Set a goal of not only weight lose but something else like completed the breast cancer walk. If your more athletic a 5K even more so a triathlon. Set a goal that makes you cross a finish line, it will change your life.
Keep a diary log and look at your progress.
Also it is very important to be patient and consistant.
Bikini season is June so you have plenty of time if you live in a warmer climate you should be in the sun so much so June is good for you too !!!! The point is small steps, reward your self, monitor your progress and commit.
How do you commit, set a goal sign up for something that cost some money and TELL FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF YOUR GOAL.
Peace,
Jeff

It's hard to do! Alot of what will work for you depends on how much you have to loose and why you are wanting to loose it. Here are some things that help me:
If I "pig out" like I did this week (Valentine's day!) I forgive myself and don't feel like I failed.
Try on a swimsuit or some article of clothing that shows off your weak areas. This should help you remember why you are doing it. Going shopping for swimsuits, sexy dresses or something along those lines can help too.
Treat yourself to really good tasting healthy food. If you can cook, do it! Make yourself a really good meal keeping your dietary guidelines. Chances are there is something in your diet (like maybe fruit) that you really love.
Know what will trigger you to get offtrack. I can't keep unheathy foods around me. If it's easy I will eat it. (switching to a school where my cafeteria plan is pay per item not all I can eat did wonders!). Does it help you or hurt you to have a small amount of unheathly foods? Will a bite of a decadent dessert help you to keep your diet or will one bite leave you hungrier for more?

write in a diary. Write about how great you'd feel after you lose the weight. Write about how hot you'd look in clothes and how everyone would admire you and maybe be jealous. It sounds conceited but it really helps.

Get some hypnosis tapes/cds and listen to them.
Go to Walmart and find the fatest person shopping in one of those electic carts and picture yourself doing that one day.
That should keep you motivated!!
