A Jew is a person chosen by G-d for a specific mission: to make this world holy, good, and G-dly. The Jew has very specific divine instructions on how to carry out this mission. Those instructions are found in the Torah and have been explained by the Jewish Sages throughout the ages.
A “good Jew,” thus, is someone who is doing his utmost to follow those instructions in order to fulfill his G-d-given mission.
The girl has no business judging you. But I don’t know if you have any way of changing her.
Well maybe there is one way: If you are satisfied that you are doing your part to complete this G-dly mission, I don’t think you will care about what she thinks.
And since I can’t imagine someone as kind, concerned and compassionate as yourself feeling satisfied unless you feel like you are doing your utmost for G-d; upon your satisfaction I am sure she will admire you too!

Talk to a Rabbi. I can almost guarantee that it means different things to different Jews, though. To me it means following the laws of Judaism to the best of your individual ability.
