Military police. Get the training and exposure. I did it, got out, was a deputy sheriff, found I enjoyed the military more, and came back in.

Most states offer a cadet program for people under 21, which means you are gaining the experience with out the title. You could also become a Detention Officer, or Corrections officer. You could also go to school for an associates in Criminal Justice.

You can't. In order to get "law enforcement" experience, you have to be a law enforcement officer; i.e., a police officer or a deputy sheriff. A prison guard or (shudder) a security guard won't cut it.

LOLOL Well, the idea comes to mind that you could go on a two-year odyssey of criminal activity. They say the veteran criminal often gets to know more about law, and law enforcement than a lot of cops do.

You could work a security job for a couple of years. But what you may have to do is take two years of college courses to be prepared. Classes like criminal law etc.
