It's not reasonable to expect your parents to allow a bunch of 16 and 17 year olds, boys and girls, to spend the night together at their house. That's out of the question. I have allowed my teenage son to have parties with girls and guys, but the girls have to go home when the party's over. I've even driven some of them home after the party (leaving my husband at home to supervise). You need to negotiate with your parents to have the party on terms you both with be happy with. Show your maturity by negotiating and not getting upset when you don't get your way. Good Luck!

When I was your age, telling my parents I would rather be around them so they could supervise and not let anything bad happen really worked. I was allowed to have a Halloween and birthday party BUT my dad took most of the guys home and the rest of the guys left themselves when he told them too. dont worry though we all had a great time without them spending the night.
Maybe you can build your parents trust by mentioning the boys going home without them bringing it up first, wink wink. Let your mom and dad be involved with the planning, sometimes it gets then excited when they have a chance to feel young again. So they will be more likely to agree with your party idea

First of all, you can't. It's their house to do with what they want. When you have your own house, you can do what you want.

Besides, there is no reason 16 and 17 year old boys and girls should spend the night together. I would not want to have to be your mom and babysit the lot of you.
