You are a good candidate for a wedding website. To avoid putting TOO much info in your invitations, you can include information such as things to do in the area, local restaurants, nearby hotels, etc. on your wedding website, then simply include a card pointing your guests to your website's address in the invitation.

But basically, include the basic invitation to the ceremony (including address, specific location, and time), an invitation to the reception if they are in separate locations, directions to both the ceremony and reception site. Research what wording you will use as this will indicate the formality of your wedding, which will give your guests cues as to proper attire.

Include a response/reply card with the RSVP by date, a space for their name, the number of guests attending, and meal choice is applicable, and a stamped envelope for their RSVP.

Whatever you do, DO NOT PUT GIFT REGISTRY INFORMATION IN YOUR INVITATION. In wedding etiquette, this is a capital offense!

Is your invite for the people going with you the Vegas? if so, i would just do a normal invite with with hotel info, location of ceremony, reception, etc.

if it's just like an announcement of you two getting married then I would wait until you get married and send out a picture of you two married in Vegas.

Include directions to the location, hotel information, and your wedding website address.

A bride on www.brides2wives.com that is marrying in Vegas plans to send out tourist info to the people that RSVP yes.

Our wedding was also "on the road", so we included a local map with the locations marked for the church, the reception, and the hotel where discounted rooms had been arranged for guests, along with directions to and from the church & reception site (with a small photo of each to help them find those places). We also included a printed list of attractions in the area: beaches, theme parks, tourist sites. I think our guests appreciated the extra information.

You know - if you'd like to do that - it's just a kind thing - and if anybody tells you it's not proper etiquette - well I think kindness trumps etiquette. You know?

Have a fabulous Vegas Wedding!!
