Hi, you are still young but old enough to need to start taking better care of yourself now. Lack of energy means your body is not working efficiently. If it has been more than 1 year since you had a check up, I recommend seeing your doctor so he can check your numbers on cholesterol, triglycerides, sugar etc.

I almost died last year and why your question makes me want to help. If I could just warn young people how quickly your life passes and overnight you can become weak and sick if you do not treat your body well.

Anything worth anything is worth the time spent. INVEST in your HEALTH. Now is the time. Get a check up EACH YEAR. I didn't and almost died b/c I neglected myself.

One great health item to have is a blood pressure cuff, the wrist type available at dr leonards for about $25. Know your cholestrol scores..you can get at home tests on ebay Cholestrak

It's a downhill slide unless you take the initiative NOW and make HEALTH an important priority in your life. Beginning at age 35 you start losing 3 % muscle mass EACH YEAR. Think of your body as a car, you would check oil, fluids, tires etc. We take better care of our cars than our own bodies! Many of us who have pets take better care of them than ourselves. Pets can benefit from the same nutrition as adults.

The first thing I would do is do a detox of the colon at least 30 days, drnatura has a good one; Colonix and Toxinout that will cleanse parasites and heavy metals. If you can't afford 90 days of their product, do 30 days. If you can't afford 30 days, then order Sir Jason Winter's colon cleanse online. I have not had one cold or virus this entire winter, first time ever which I'm attributing to my new health regimes. I'm sleeping the best in years.

While you are detoxing and after, drink plenty of water and eat lots of fresh fruits, vegetables and fresh cooked lean meat chicken or fish. Eat nothing fried but broil bake or stir fry your meats. Start looking for ORGANIC range fed meats, milk etc. Yes these foods are more expensive but look at it this way, would you rather pay more for GOOD HEALTHY food or pay the doctors and drug companies?

If you are eating a lot of fast foods, have a salad with your burger and get lettuce and tomato on the burger. Skip the fries, get the baked potato. Get a light dressing versus full fat. For fats eat virgin Olive oil as dressing or VIRGIN coconut oil or margarine like spread that are NOT hydrogenated.

Take your weight divide by 2, this is the number of ounces of water you should have daily. Divide by 6 for the number of ounces you should drink 6 times daily Bottled or filtered tap water.

Here are some things to invest in to improve your body's vitality:

rebounder about $60 10 minutes per day for circulation, an air filter machine HEPA for your bedroom, a filtration system for your SHOWER about $75 especially if your water is chlorinated and/or fluoridated.

Make sugar an occasional treat like once a month. Replace sweet carbs like cakes pies cookies donuts ice cream with fruit. Eat only 15 grams carbs per meal, eat more lean meats like chicken and fish cut back on nitrate meats like cold cuts bacon sausage.. Buy most of your foods from the PRODUCE and fresh meat sections, next best is frozen veggies. Eat plenty of fruits like oranges, apples, pears and plenty of leafy green veggies, nuts like almonds, pistachios, walnuts and seeds, berries melons.

Take a good multi vitamin and mineral supplement and a separate antioxidant like Vit C E co q10 or a good chlorophyll green drink like dee simmons.com Green Miracle and Coral Calcium.

Check into whole food JUICING..these machines are $200 to 400, some even juice AND make soup in the same blender. Wonderful for the ENZYMES!

If you do not do an active sport regularly walk 30 minute daily or more...add some weights every other day and stretch the entire body daily. Find a sport you enjoy that is exercise like roller skating, ice skating DANCING fun things that keep you moving.

Get to bed at the same time each night, like 10. At night cut the lights down in your home to start preparing your body for rest. You must sleep between the hours of 10 and 2 AM to get restorative healing sleep. Continuous loss of sleep or keeping late hours till 2 3 or 4 in the morning ( I did all that working ) can slow the metabolism and lower T cells in your immune system. If your bed sucks, invest in good pillows a memory foam or down mattress topper and a down comforter...things like this are very inexpensive on ebay I've found.

If you smoke anything STOP! You are destroying your vascular system. ( I did that too ) If you drink a lot of coffee or tea, cut that back to just an occasional treat. Ditto sodas. Drink non caffeinated herbal teas, UNSWEETENED fruit juices.

Look for natural alternatives to drugs and over the counter meds...drugs promote more sickness ( sideeffects ) take only prescription drugs for life threatening illness.

I know. I did ALL those things without thinking about even 15 years down the road. I'm 54 yo, smoked for years, and I had a stroke last year and have a 60% artery blockage that is asymptomatic, which means i have no dizziness or fainting from it yet. I'm trying to REVERSE that blockage by nutrition. Even tho I'm taking the meds my doctors prescribed, I am constantly improving my nutrition with food and supplements.

Did you know that COLD WEATHER is dangerous to your health especially if you are a WOMAN? I didn't know that and no doctor told me that. I stumbled onto research accidentally while searching for ways to reduce artery blockages natural. Blood thickens in winter. As a result BLOOD PRESSURE RISES in winter, for some people who are borderline hypertensives in summer..they pass right into full blown hypertension in the winter due to cold temperatures. So! If you knew that would you get more active in the winter and take natural antioxidants ( natural blood thinners ) to reduce your chance of stroke or just sit there all bundled up? Combine women, winter, a desk job or long hours sitting...you have the perfect recipe for a stroke clot to form. Remember winter = reduction in blood circulation. A reduction in blood circulation is an increase risk of stroke. How about in winter taking natural blood thinners like vitamin C , E and other antioxidants. Clean blood = thinner blood. Detoxing the colon is the beginnings of clean blood. A slight ALKALINE body cannot get sick. Most people get sick b/c their bodies are in a state of acidosis. ( acidic ) Disease and unhealthy conditions thrive in the acid body. Research on how to AKLALIZE the body...you do it thru foods, supplemention and ionized oxegenated water.
When I stroked my bp was 260/160, cholesterol was 330 and high homocysteine. I'm on a regime of zocor for cholesterol, plavix to thin my blood so no more clots will form at the blockage site, and Foltx a high power B vite plus Benicar HCT a highpower blood pressure reducer that does so by forcing water from my body ( not a healthy thing ) and an angiotension ( causes my vessels to dilate wide open ) STRESS hormones keep the arteries from being able to EXPAND for the best blood flow. Think about that each time you allow yourself to STRESS out. Think about this...when you exercise 30 minutes or even 20 minutes like walking or treadmilling...BP drops 20 or more points IMMEDIATELY after the exercise and stays down for hours. I know I see this with my home BP cuff. The reason for the drop in BP ( a good thing if you have high blood pressure like me ) is that EXERCISE causes the body to release endorphins and those DILATE the arteries, allowing blood to flow freely. Many times I'm able to avoid a 2nd dose of my bp meds by simply treadmilling for 20 to 30 minutes.

These are powerful drugs with side effects that lead to serious ADDITIONAL illnesses. Benicar HCT can cause serious low blood pressure from dehydration and rises in blood sugar plus gout ( my husband is a diabetic and he got gout after being on benicar ) So now he takes 2 more drugs for the gout....gout is arthritic in the feet a serious place for diabetics to have sores wounds and infection of which GOUT causes. ..plavix can cause stomach bleeding and hemmorhagic brain bleed. Zocor and plavix both cause inflammation of the gastro tract and symptoms of IBS plus they can ruin your kidneys and liver, those tests have to be done every 3 months...women taking zocor are more likely to dev ereststodeyThe docs will not admit it b/c to stop the drugs, lowers their income. Check out your doc's office, look around, look at all the gifts the drug companies give them like scales to weigh you, clocks in all the waiting rooms examining rooms etc.

Chronic ongoing stress, a tendancy to workaholic, keeping late hours poor diet..i.e, i abused my body= weight gain and metabolic disorders. Smoking ruined my vascular system it was so weak IV's blew my veins.

The past year I focused on prayer, paying more attention to a healthy diet, rest, de stressing, exercise and fresh nutritionally rich foods, and supplementation. My vascular system is much improved and with supplementation I hope to soon be off 3 of my meds.

It's far far easier to love your body as the house that contains your spirit, take care of it while you are young and it will thank you when you are middle aged with good health and vitality. I have been a NON SMOKER for one year now. I had blood drawn the other day, they had no problem finding my veins, or drawing the blood, no vein collapses like last year.

Formula for good health: clean water, clean air, fresh foods= clean blood; add to that supplementation, rest and exercise, prayer and meditation with your Creator.

Hey, I could get by on 5-6-7 hrs back when I was younger.
Even now I still can occasionally. But I am now also 30, so I go to bed earlier etc.

If you're not sick, it might be sort of conditioning. If you gradually start sleeping more, you in the end feel you need the extra hours. Going back down to what you used to do feels incredibly wrong and horrible, but after you sleep less for a while it may be that you can get by with less sleep again.

I've done that more than once, but it does work for me.
I know everyone is different, so maybe get checked out by a doctor, if you feel that might be it. If nothing's up, try sleeping an hour less each day or two and see if you can get your 10 hrs back down to something closer to the 4 you used to need.

I too had a real problem with that for a long time. I found out when I was 35 years old that I had too much yeast in my system. I did a candida cleanse and it changed my life. Do you also crave sugar and sweets, carbohydrates?
What happens is whether it be too much antibiotic use or whatever in your life, your system possibly has an overgrowth of yeast.
I went through this company to do my cleanse. I do not get anything from referring but it worked for me and it could work for you.
www.debrasimon.com she has a little test you can do. I know I met almost all of them and I really needed the cleanse. It's worth a shot. My life has changed dramatically and I'm living life again!!!

God bless you!!

I can guarantee that whateverv it is that you dont want to hear,is what will help you get well again.
I imagine it is has already been suggeted that you go for walks, and perhaps a swim.
speak with your closest friend about your feelings, and do it more than four times, and dont stop ever!remember every day what you used to be energetic about.
take five minutes every day and visualise what you would like to be doing,,and every day!!!!! also as you visualis what it s youn are doing try and get the feeling you are doing it,,and dont stop..remember every day right!!!? now if there is anything you are doing which is none of my business try and do it in moderation or just STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!! one more thing go to your doctor for a blood test, and discuss the situation.if this dont work get back to me and i shall suggest more things

We all go through ruts of feeling lazy. Could be down to a number of factors e.g. Feeling down because its winter - less sunlight, being stressed from work, not being in a relationship, your football team doing badly, etc, etc. This feeling can only be resolved by you. Do some exercise, go and socialise, go and see a film, do something creative. Just keep pushing yourself to go and do something you enjoy.

Become a vegetarian for 3-4 days. By the 4th day you will likely have much more energy. This works because you might have too much acid in your body, making the body need rest to balance itself (Ph balance). Fruits and vegetables are more alkaline, which will cleanse and balance your body. I'm 35, and when I have that constant tired feeling, I go to the fruit and vegetable diet. My energy is back in 2-3 days......

Then maybe you should go do something! Excerising helps make you more energetic after some time, and eat better foods that'll make you feel better.

Do you drink caffinated drinks like coke or sprite? Cut those out. They actually make you more tired than if you never had one. I cut out cokes and spirtes and such for two months, and never felt better.

Go and get yourself a complete medical it could be physical, and be honest to your dr. if he asks you if there have been any changes in your life recently, it could be depression or SAD you could be suffering from the lack of sunshine in winter and it really can mess up how you feel. Try these things and please remember that lots of people go through them. Good luck

Check your weight. Probably you gained some. try to lose it by workin' out. get two alarm clocks... you'll hate to wake up early in the morning ... but believe me, it'd help. don't take elevators. instead ... walk. Read at night ... whenever you feel sleepy. All the best!
