why do some smokers get nicotine stains whilst others dont?

I thought of that as well.
Obviously, the more you smoke and the less often you wash your hands the more likely it is you'll get your fingers stained.
But I also noiced some brands stain your fingers sooner than others!

How they handle their cigarettes. I had an Aunt with a nicotine moustache because she kept her cigarette in her mouth whilst she was smoking. My mother held her cigarette in a strange fashion, and used pumice stone to clean her fingers every day.
I have smoked 20 a day for 40 years and have not got a stain to show.
So, perhaps the answer is how you handle the cigarette.
Do you feel under pressure by public opinion to stop smoking?

I do not know , maybe to do with high tar cigarettes , unsure but i do know it looks disgusting ! Imagine if that is their fingers dread to think of their lungs !
