I am going to a wedding in...let's see..3.5 hours. THE INVITATION CAME IN A RED ENVELOPE. This is the weekend after V-Day. The wedding is at a plush "country club" inside a hotel. My dress is kimono style, mainly red, but with black and cream accents. My mom says that red says "homewrecker." Or that I am against the wedding. I say, IT'S THE ONLY DRESS THAT I HAVE THAT FITS! And it's a February wedding! What do you think?

I think it sounds perfect. These are your friends, right? You're not going to wreck their home! Often, people choose pretty red dresses for their own bridesmaids.

i believe you should wear what you belive is comfortable. i dont know much about wedding since im only 16 but my teacher told me that (correct me if im wrong) either in china or japan since they wear white to funurels in wedding they wear red. red its like a happy color. i dont think there is noting wrong with that. ask the bride if your comfortable with that see what she says but its mainle your decision. i would wear the red to stand out i dont really care what people think. and if you dont want to standout dont wear it if you think your taking the attemption away from the bride.

That's the first time I ever heard that one! Wear your red dress. I'll bet you look smashing in it. Have fun!

"adversarial"? why is she your foe or something? I say wear the red dress, get sloppy drunk, then shag the groom in the broom closet and live up to your mother's expectations. And have fun for Pete's sake.
