Maybe because we are intirely too passive and trusting of "Big Brother". If it doesn't affect us, we don't bother. Then when a bill is passed and it's too late, we have nothiing to do but complain. My son and I regularly check on new bills introduced and send letters to our senators and representatives. I wish everybody did. Then maybe we, the people, would actually have a little more imput on bill passage.
