Listen I'm on a pro's volleyball team and my volleyball team does it alot!! When you set the ball sometimes your fingers do weird things like spread apart so much that the ball goes somewhere else.( Like to somewhere you don't want it to go.) It just helps your fingers stay where they need to be so you can control the ball better. And so you don't break or jam your fingers and get hurt really BAD!!! So if you jam your finger or break it you really can't control the ball right? Yep!! :) Good Luck!!!

When you sprain or jam a finger, a good way to help it heal, take the pain away and give it some strength is to tape it to the finger next to it.

It is awkward to do, but it helps a lot when you need it.

They tape their fingers either because it was recently sprined and they need another finger as support or, Because most peoples fingers don't stay straight so also again its for support 2 is better then 1=]
