Well, I was at the anit-war rally in Washington last month; I am at my local anti-war rally locally - every week. I write my state representatives and the Washington Senators and Representative, voicing my opinion, I sign petitions that are sent to Washington and help collect them.
I listen to all information being debated by those who make the decisions and respond if given the opportunity.
What are you doing?

How come all the bleeding heart liberals want to bring the troops home when the troops themselves DO NOT want this retreat from war and this stupid idea? They are right in the action, and they know that coming home before victory could turn the whole region into a huge mess. When that happens everyone would be worse off.....Israel would nuke Iran, most other muslim nations would go beserk jump in the action, Russia would join in, and we'd have a major world war on our hands.

Signing petitions against the escalation of troops, writing my Congress reps to end the war now and to support Senator Kennedey's legislation that will stop the escalation, I will be marching for peace on the pentagon March 17 - I also got a new "bring 'em home" bumper sticker today.

What am I doing? I am fighting in the war on terror. Have been since 2001. Deployed twice to Iraq, and I train Marines and Sailors who are about to go and fight in the war on terror. What have I done to bring our troops home? I have attended going away and welcome home parties. I have stood in as a friend and father figure to my colleagues families while my brothers in arms were deployed, and I have asked the same from them while I am deployed. I have packed and repacked their equipment, observed the loading and unloading of fallen American patriots who have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. I have attended wakes and funerals in their honor. I have requested to go back, so that I may do it all over again. I have offered up my time, energy, emotion, dedication, service and honor for my country. Now I ask, what have you done?

There is nothing that I can do. It's all up to the government. I did my share in the Second World War, but even then there was very little that a soldier in the field could do to end the war other than kill as many as he could.

Nothing! Are you really out to send a message to the terrorists that The U.S. is so incompetant and at war with its own people, that it cannot do anything but back out and completely undermind the soldiers that are in Iraq, for what they believe, to be a positive effort?? Its people like you that will ultimately destroy this country. Or at least give the terrorists the ability to!

I am supporting the troops, the war on terror, sending packages of goodies when I can afford to, and researching those who run for poitical office to make sure I cast a vote for people who will make a difference.
What "yetiusmc" and "usarmorsoldier" are doing, making people's lives better, sound a lot more likely to secure safety for our country than anything else. Thanks, soldiers.

The last time we did this was Viet Nam and 2 million Cambodians and Vietnamese died as a result. If we pull out of Iraq, hundreds of thousands to millions of Iraqie's will die in a civil war and in the end Al Queda will own the oil fields.
Do you want blood, death and killing of this magnitude on your hands? Not me!!

I wrote a letter thanking my Congressman for voting against the House resolution condemning the President and keeping a commitment to victory in Iraq.

I'm winning the peace. I'm bringing Sunni and Shiites together to serve on the same City Council. They are working hand in hand to bring peace to their small neighborhood of Baghdad. I'm working with another City Council in a purely Sunni enclave in Baghdad who, four years ago, HATED Americans. Now, we are working to rebuild a failing infrastructure that Saddam ignored while he built more palaces. I walked on a foot patrol in a market area without fear. The kids walked with us and talked to us. The people were supportative.
For those of you who think we are failing, you're being lied to. We are WINNING!
I have absolute proof.
