Metabolism decreases with age, & lack of activity. I don't suggest you become lathargic, nor age before your time. If you try to lower your metabolism at such a young age, you may find yourself unable to reverse the proccess so easily as you age.


The healthiest way to gain mass is to lift weights, and make sure you have good protein, (ie, meats, dairy, fish) intake. Watch your caffeine intake, which also increases metabolism. Drink water as much as possible, which helps your digestive stay on track, as well as prevents dehydration from workouts or increased activities. Watch your sugar and carb intakes as well. They will increase your energy, but only temporarily, then you get a quick burn out.

Join a healthclub and WORK OUT. Muscle weighs more than fat. When you increase your muscle mass, you increase weight the HEALTHY WAY. Good luck.

Eat food high in calories and in fat. Don't overdo it though.

u need mucle not fat cause you cant burn off muscle....
