First of all, what is the definition of the word Fool? Answer: one that lacks judgement, an idiot, one who lacks intelligence.
I don't see our men and women in our military considered "fools" on fighting on what they believe in. Each individual that decides to join our military forces can't be considered "a fool". They have a reason for enlisting, whether it's a paycheck each month or to serve our country in the protection of it's people and their country and flag. It shouldn't matter to you on why they enlisted because it's their business for their own reasons. Now if the Government decides to send our troops to Iraq for instance to assist in their Civil War then it's our military's responsibility to do as the Government orders them to do regardless what the soldiers might think. That doesn't make our men and women "fools". They have no choice in the matter whether they want to fight or not. This is why they enlisted in the military. They all new that there was a possibility in going to war or a situation involving our troops in a military action. This does not make them a "fool". Now if you want to get personal about this on calling someone "a fool" then you need to look at yourself in the mirror since you are lacking some intelligence yourself in the way other people make their own decisions.

Yea I'm sure that they are going over there for a "paycheck" !!! Many of the reserve troops are leaving well paying jobs in order to receive the paltry pay of a military person. The "fool" is people like you fool!!! The problem with some that insult our troops is that they don't have the balls themselves to serve our country. While I'm not a backer of this war I back our troops 100% and would go myself if it would mean saving one younger person. Having fought in a war myself I know how these troops feel and have seen the "dodgers" like you. When you grow up to be an adult you will feel an emptiness that you'll never be able to fill and that is the feeling of going off to war when your country called. Sit back and throw out your insults but they, the troops, have earned our respect. The same cannot be said of you!!

And like most of the men and women over there were just so excited to find out that they'd be sent to some country for no reason and have to defend themselves to why they're there without any support from anyone except eachother and friends/family... I think people like YOU are the FOOL not them.. Get a life and grow the heck up would ya...

I enlisted in the Army National Guard after 9/11 knowing I was going to go to Iraq and volunteered to come here as well. People in the military who enlisted whether before or after 9/11 and then complain about going to Iraq are fools themselves. You signed the dotted line with no gun to your head, therefore they knew what they were signing up for. Most of these ignorant people protesting this war have not been here and seen the things I have. We have liberated an oppressed country and saved hundreds of lives. Two questions......Since 9/11 and we came to Iraq how many attacks have there been on the U.S.? That's right....NONE! So tell me......We bring the fight to them or wait like coward Democrats for another attack on our people in our homeland?

Who gives a rat's hind parts what YOU think. Nothing like being WRONG bubba. If you think our military men and women have gone to Iraq JUST TO GET A PAY CHECK, you're WAY off base. You are SO typical of uninformed civilians who think they know everything but wind up showing exactly what you DON'T know.
WE are in Iraq to help get freedom to people who have lived decades under centuries old tyranny and backwards way of living. Would you want your MOTHER to live as chattel where the COW is worth more than she is? Where daddy can kick her out on her keester because she didn't make the roast camel hump how he likes it? Where you are FORCED to marry someone you don't even know? Where you don't have the freedoms we now have?
I'd say more, but you'd go running to those yahoos at YAHOO saying...WAAAAAAAAAAA HE INSULTED ME. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
And I just don't have the patience with those people..and you people...any more.

Well in that case one would think YOU should go enlighten them about how foolish they are. Here's what you should do. Find the nearest Army or Marine base. There is going to be a club nearby where military personnel frequent. You should inside and tell them how you feel about their service.

They will enlighten you about why they are serving. I'm sure you will see the light. After a few days, when the swelling goes down. Feel free to repeat that as often until one of you has changed your position.

You have a FAANNNNtastic day!

You are entitle to your opinion, but try not to express it on any of the military forts in the country.

I think most people agree to go to war because they are young, impressionable, invulnerable and brash. I doubt very many troops go to war to help the Iraqis, and I would hope not a single person is so destitute that he would go for the money!

Most present day wars are always fought with young people because the older people are not as gullible as our youth. Not to say that older citizens would not stand up if America were truly in danger. This simply has not been the case since WWII. In the meanwhile, younger people will fight and die in the wars we chose to enter. Not because they are fools for they just do not have enough experience to be a fool. They just don't know enough of the ways of the world!

Cool Breeze, Is that a Cold Wind or may be you just misspelled it, Could you possibly be a Fool Sneeze instead?
Grow up, one day soon you may just possibly have this same fight in your back yard. When after our government has allowed all of the manufacturing to escape "offshore" you try to get a good job. You too may be enlisting. Smile. That is if what you stated it is your way of thinking. You my friend have a rude awakening coming soon. The Doom is blowing in the room.

I don't know of anyone foolish enough to go to war and get shot at just to collect a paycheck, do you? I think the majority of people who go have some belief in what they are doing, mixed with patriotism and a sense of duty, of course there are always those who think war is glamorous and go just for the Adrenalin rush, until they get shot.
