I am going to a wedding in...let's see..3.5 hours. THE INVITATION CAME IN A RED ENVELOPE. This is the weekend after V-Day. The wedding is at a plush "country club" inside a hotel. My dress is kimono style, mainly red, but with black and cream accents. My mom says that red says "homewrecker." Or that I am against the wedding. I say, IT'S THE ONLY DRESS THAT I HAVE THAT FITS! And it's a February wedding! What do you think?

I'm not sure why folks want to wear the wedding colors to the wedding (even if that's what can be ascertained from the wedding envelope) and I understand that it's February but I wouldn't wear red to the wedding. You may be perfectly comfortable but I'm sure others will be discussing you at great length for your choice of attire. It is annoying to go shopping for a wedding wardrobe especially when you aren't in it but I would look for another color.

I wore red to a wedding in June. I heard they same thing from everybody I told before the wedding. "You can't wear red", blah blah blah. My dress was more of a dark red, nothing very shiny. Once I got to the wedding, I didn't feel weird wearing it. If the dress isn't too flashy or slutty, I would say go for it.

Wear it and be proud. Alot of Italians wear red to weddings. If you wear red shoes, thats a plus too. Do you have an escort? I'm free. I think you'll look hot. Ooooh Baby!
