My boyfriend, of 5 years, and I are talking about getting married. He wants a quick Las Vegas wedding with minimum amount of guest. This will be a our first wedding. On the other hand I do not want a great big wedding and I am not sure about the Vegas wedding. What would be a good compromise?

Why not take a look at what's available in Vegas and make a decision from there - if you take a look and decide it's still not for you, you can look elsewhere.

You might be surprised at the choice - we had a small, romantic wedding on the Bellagio hotel terrace in September and it was wonderful. You can browse all Vegas chapels using the link below (there are over 70 of them) and search wedding package options.

Hope you find what you;re looking for.

Maybe an outdoor wedding. Or a quaint bed and breakfast? Intimate coffee house? Backyard? Poolside?
Some hotels have beautiful courtyards too.
But I can honestly tell you that I've heard from many newlyweds after the wedding that they wish they had just gone to Vegas or a JP and spent more focus and money on the honeymoon, because thats truly when the event is focused on the couple and you can relax and have fun!
Weddings can be extremely stressful, and cause a lot of inlaw/outlaw problems. Just went through that with stepson.

We did Justice of the Peace in the next town over with a few friends and relatives. After the 10 minute ceremony we all went out to breakfast (we got married at 8:45 in the morning). It was simple quick and very enjoyable. I dont see anything wrong with that. You could try that or a small wedding outside with an ordained minister with a few family and friends.

Good luck and enjoy!

Go to Vegas with him, but DO NOT get married there, in fact my advice is for you is: Don't do it! Wait another 25-45 years, then see if you still love him enough to marry him;)

Whatever you two can agree on is a good compromise. You need to learn to settle your disagreements yourself and not ask Yahoo Answers to do it for you. If you can't settle this yourself now, how are you going to handle real problems that come up in your marriage?
