We're brought up to do so... there record in the wars etc... but i think u'll find that anybody thats had the pleasure of holidaying there that they have found the locals lovely friendly and welcoming people( except of course in paris! all major cities the same) in fact i admire them in the way they take no sh*t from there government.

Because they are selfish. The allies (brits and yankees) liberated them from the Nazis. And what do we get in return? General De Gaulle vetos our attempted entry into the common market (as it was called then) in the 1960s. And then they complain that we are not fully commited to the EU!

Anyways, France will be bankrupt in 20 years. They are an old economy of old Europe that can't make the necessary market reforms, because their unions are too powerful. The only things they produce are wine, which is far less popular than it used to be because of all the other new wine producing countries. And shite cars like peugeot and renault which are all riddled with faults and fall apart after a couple of years.

you will find that the no nation in europe likes the french very much. there are lots of reasons, but its mainly because they are very selfish and think only of themselves, and because they speak in a superior and arrogant way with the attitude that anyone around them is like a piece of dirt

If you as a tourist in paris ask for directions or help, they will look at you like you are scum.

The country is constantly on strike, ports blockaded, services not running for the slightest reason (not thinking about the customers)

They are having regular race riots because they dont attempt the racial integration we do in uk - so the ethnic groups have very little hope in life and riot.

we have had many agreements with france eg world wars - when france was on its knees, britain came and liberated them from nazis, then when its their turn to help us eg kuwait, any international incident where tropps are needed - the french just say they wont help, or will only do it in places where there is no danger!

They do nuclear bomb tests under the sea in pacific beauty spots and dont care what international opinion says

i cant speak for everyone in britain, but i dont like the french because they have really annoying accents. i'm aware this is completely irrational and margainly racist, but the accent just gets on my nerves. i also find all the 'we only sell french wine here!' stuff really stupid and pompous. and the food is really pretentious and overrated! most people i know (mostly british, obviously) love the french because of the food and culture and all that, and a lot of them find the accent sexy (weirdos)

because the french really have a lot of unacceptable habits such as. your in france on holiday you may speak a little french but not enough to get by. now you will speak to a french person who speaks english and they will not help you. and that was confirmed to me by a french person. and then there is the long history of wars..

I really don't know we have holidayed in France many times and I really don't see the problem, you can go anywhere in the world and there will be people you don't gel with but also many more that will make you feel really welcome.
