No. It is actually kind of cool. Then you are dealing with a woman who knows what she wants, and you definitely want that female in your corner.

From a mans perspective... I think its rather sweet and welcome if they knew they were travelling the same road.

Why can't a woman have the same rights as a man? Are we so hell bent on status quo to not think outside the box of the norm? Or that a man's pride can be so wounded about a woman dropping to one knee proposing a love contract for life and perhaps handing him an engagement ring?

BTW, were you going to hand him an engagement ring? If not, don't do a half A*ss job of this. Get the ring just like the guy would. It doesn't need to have a rock on it just a friendship ring with the same symbolism.

If you're talking about a "on one knee with ring in hand".. then.. yes. There are few pleasures reserved for men in relationships, and proposing is one of them.

But in most cases, the prospect of marriage is usually determined long before the official proposal. So if you're interested in proposing, talk about marriage. I've never felt a "suprise proposal" is a good thing since it assumes a decision has already been made, and puts one party on the spot.

To me, yes it is. I mean its nice that she thinks well enough of me to think I'll make a great husband but its a lil demasculating to have her actually propose. Give me hints to know that you want to take it serious and possibly get married.

It's a bit unconventional, but that's not a bad thing. It simply shows you're capable of saying what you want. Good luck!

Yes, but it wouldn't matter too much. I think that would make it easier for the guy, he wouldn't have to worry about your answer.

Why would girls propose.............. that sounds awkward. Imagine the girl buys the ring and gives it to the guy........... She kneels before the man and said "Will you marry me".........................Very awkward
