Absolutely! It's just more silliness.

ridicule? what's new? they ridiculed Jesus, they stoned Paul and they crucified Peter upsidedown (supposedly).
My point: If you follow the crowd - or the opinion of the "learned and wise", you just might go straight to hell.
The concept of Creationism - that is, (IMO) that the world was created by God in six literal days and that there really was a first man and women, Adam and Eve, there really was a "fall" from the garden of Eden, etc. - is woven throughout scripture. You cannot say you believe the bible to be the word of God and say that you do not believe in creationism. Well, you can say it but it doesn't make any sense and holds you up to ridicule.
god bless

I'm a Christian, studied in the manuscripts, and I have one word for you: YES.
These are people who are unlearned in what the Scriptures say. The Word does not say this earth is 6000 years old - in fact, it states this earth to be many of eons old, and that there was even an earth age before this one.
I sure wish they would shut up, but hey, please realize that no matter what group you look at, whether it be Christian, Buddhist, Athiest, or even a knitting group, you have your grounded individuals and you have your crack pots.
Its just the nature of the flesh. There are idiots everywhere, ya know??

Christianity does a intrinsic disservice to itself by espousing ludicrous conclusions about the order of the natural and physical universe even when confronted with mountainous contrary evidence.

I don't think it damages Christianity much. It is accepted by most people that only the lunatic fringe of Christianity believes in the literal truth of Genesis.

"From the beginning of the Creation God made them male and female..."-- Jesus (Mk. 10:6)
" By the Word of the Lord were the heavens created, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.... For HE SPAKE AND IT WAS DONE; HE COMMANDED AND IT STOOD FAST". (psalm 33:6-9
Does that answer your question?
Please learn the Scripture .

Yes. With evolution now a proven fact, creationism is now totally pointless.

Fairly obviously. It gives people a soft target.
In fact it doesn't help atheists either because it it so easy to refute.

The problem is that people actually believe the creationist crap. It isn't as much fun even as David Icke
