They don't make your feet any stronger, but they can be very relaxing - which in turn reduces stress levels benefiting other stress related conditions.

Massage in general is good for your body because it helps the blood to circulate, and it is is relaxing for the muscles and mind. As far as the foot baths, I'm sure having your own at home is a great thing to have for the same reasons as a regular massage. I'm not too sure if they make your feet stronger. I own a foot bath and find it very helpful after a day of standing on my feet all day. I use it mostly to relax my feet and to help them stay healthy. By healthy, I mean moisturized and well groomed. Just be careful if you go to a nail spa to relax your feet. They don't always clean their products or tubs very well. Whenever I go I ALWAYS ask them if everything has been cleaned or I watch them do it.

I am not sure about the feet becoming stronger but your health improves by increased blood circulation, sweating and thus elimination of toxins etc. From the point of reflexology, all the important organs are connected to the soles of our feet (and also our palms). So massaging the feet will energise the nervous system and improve the health.

Soaking hands or feet in brine or pickle juice can toughen skin. If you easily blistered, this may be worth a try.
