Should the USA close all it bases in Europe and pull out. ? Should the USA see if Russia would like to recreate the Warsaw Pact and join that?

Pretty petty and snotty on your part to even suggest it. It is also quite short sighted as the Afghanistan campaign is mainly a NATO operation. Thus if we dump NATO we would have to take up the slack in Afghanistan. Where would we get troops for that stupid move? You volunteering? Oh yes and while your volunteering you could also right out a massive check to the IRS to help pay for this circus wars aren't cheap you know. PS the old WARSAW pact has joined up with NATO and Russia is in no shape to threaten anyone as they are bogged down in Chechnya.
