well the average weight loss a week should be no more than 2-3 lbs a week so between 8 - 12 lbs a month .maybe . it all depends on the person and how fast there metabolism is . just take your time you will be granted greatly in the long run . because losing to much weight in a short period of time can result in medical problems . best of luck and remeber take it one day at a time , i know you can do it !!!!

The numbers make all the difference, and you didn't list any. How much do you eat now in terms of calories? How much LESS are you GOING to eat? What sort of exercise were you planning? How long? How intense?
How big are you now and what sort of shape are you in? Do you have disabilities that will prevent significant exercise?
Eating less and exercising more should result in weight loss over time. How much depends on how you answer the above questions.
Asking about how much you can lose in one month indicates that you don't have a good grasp of the weight loss process. If you're starting more or less from scratch, a month is just about long enough to get yourself in good enough shape to run, bike, or perform other exercise long enough and hard enough to impact your weight. Same with calorie restriction. It takes a while to rearrange your diet and get it consistent enough get your body in weight loss mode.
Bottom line, don't expect anything the first month.
I know it sounds trite and you've heard it a million times, but weight loss requires commitment and lifestyle change.
It works a lot better if you find a sport or vigorous activity that you like, or can learn to like, and keep the weight loss thing in the back of your mind. Love of an activity works far better as motivation than weight loss for its own sake.

expect around 2 to 3 pounds a week...approx. 10 lbs a month is a good target. Weight yourself once a week on the same scales, on the same day and hopefully around the same time of day. Good luck.

The body can safely lose about 2 lbs of fat per week. Anything beyond that is muscle loss or fluid loss and is not healthy. Therefore in a month, one can safely lose about 8lbs.
