Yes, I've always been told it's a calcium deficiency. I don't think it's anything to panic about, but you could always increase your milk intake, or take a calcium chew.

They are usually caused by trauma to the nail and will grow out with the nail. Parallel lines on all your nails could be a vitamin deficiency.

It's NOT calcium deficiency. It's a ZINC deficiency. Take a zinc tab with your usual vitamins and it will go away.
