i am having an operation next monday that will keep me from moving for 2 weeks, what should I do to keep fat from building up around my waist? is the new electric abs machine helpful in this situation? I know that normaly it does very minimal work. plz let me know... and one more thing will I loose a lot of muscle mass i've been building in the winter? any hints on a diet is much appreciated. thanks again

Go get yourself some whey powder.....Whey and water.

If anything, overeat....don't worry about putting on a little fat, it's easier to burn off the fat than to build the new muscle. Its February anyway, you'll be fine.

Just eat plenty. The electric ab machines don't do squat, I used to drive a lot and tried those.

Gets some stretch bands, work those while you relax, maybe a medicine ball and do some plyometrics while you lay around.

If you can, work your *** off at the gym today and tomorrow, I mean like 5 hours each day....

Then your body will be rebuilding muscle for almost the entire two weeks.

Healing time is usually less than 6 weeks. You will be fine you don't need to do anything special for that period, just concentrate on healing. that is the most important thing you can do for yourself. You don't want to compromise the healing process. Watch what you eat and eat small meals frequently. Hope that helps honey. Good luck.

if you have built alot o f muscle mass and have not had a rest period during lifting you will blossom with the rest...we tear down when we lift and blossom with rest...
