What you said is very true "that many non-Christians have hostily rejected the idea of God simply because of the poor behavior exhibited by Christians"
I can't tell you how many "Christians" I know that drink, smoke, curse, are racist and bigots. They go out drinking and drugging on Friday and Saturday nights, just barely dragging themselves out of bed Sunday morning. Sit in church hungover, asking for forgiveness for all their sins, and then repeat the same process the next week. The very few Christians that I've met, that are actually Christians and follow the teachings of Christ, or at the very least make an attempt to, are absoulutely wonderful people. These are true Christians, and it's these people that I enjoy listening to and learning from. It's these people that I will attend a Sunday service with, because they practice what they preach. The majority of "Christians" out there will preach and prosylitize to you, but they are the most hypocritical people I have ever met. So when so called "Chrisitans" start whining about how everybody is against them, I say well start ACTING like a real Chrisitian would act, follow the teachings of Christ, and maybe people will begin to take you seriously!!!! It's funny that the truly religious and wonderful Christians out there, as well as other religions, are never the ones that need to constantly shove their beliefs down other peoples throats. They are secure in their beliefs, and have no need to try to prove non-Christians wrong. They are there to teach, and are tolerant to other people, whatever their beliefs, and are there to help in any way. This is the sign of a REAL Christian. All the others are merely false Christians, and are as likely to go to Hell as non-Christians, no matter how many verses they memorize!!!

yes Christians arent perfect also we all slip up. And some Christians believe that they are better than non-christians and some try to excel over other Christians. But we are all sinners and we have to realize that. I think that as Christians we need to step back and look at our own faults before we judge other's and there is many ways we can go about approaching our non-christian friends to show them that they are wrong. Many Christians handle it the wrong way but liek i said we aren't perfect. So i gave you this good verse in the bible that hopefully will help you. I hope i helped

Not all who say they are Christians are.
That is a fact. The Hypocrite is one that is a pretender.
He goes to church, he may even have a good grasp of the Bible.
It is the actions that you watch. That is the fruit.
What you produce, not what you say. Words are cheap.
There are those who would pretend and put on a good show.
As to your question----Pray for others.
You can not do anything on your own. The things of the others can not be manipulated by you.

Galatians 4:5 - To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Titus 2:14 - Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

they might't be redeemed. "He held angels for judgment on the large day. They have been held in darkness, sure via everlasting chains. those are the angels who did no longer shop their place of authority yet abandoned their assigned place." Jude a million:6

I reject Christianity as meaningless dogma regardless of Christian behaviour. I don't reject God or criticise anyone who believes in God, I just don't believe that he exists.
