Yes I heard that also. They say room temperature water gets absorbed faster. Im no doctor, however, i dont see how it can be bad for your health if it simply waits in your stomach longer. But one positive effect of drinking cold water is that it cools the body down; Maybe this offsets the effect of a slow rate of absorbtion.

No it is not bad for your health. In fact some people recommend drinks lots of really cold water to help with weight loss. You body must burn a few calories to bring the cold water up to body temperature.

no drinking cold water will help you burn calories because once you drink the cold water your body start to work on heating up

you should drink luke warm water (body temp), cold water shocks your metabolism. Its just better if your slimming to drink luke warm water - otherwise your still getting the same antioxidants
