My brother is an evil. He's very stupid, he's bad at school, he plays Xbox everyday, he doesn't know anything about the real life, he doesn't care about anything except him self, his guitar, his Xbox, his clothes and our computer. He thinks that he can play guitar, but he's suck. He dresses like a stupid person, and the worst is he thinks he's a computer expert and he's better than Bill Gates.

You know what, he erased my folder from our computer. And it's not an ordinary folder, it's the one where I save all of my homeworks, some of my very important documents, and the lecture recording. It's only one folder, but it means a lot to me!! I'm totally desperate, I lost all the things that I need for my study.

What should I do?? I'm really confused now, and I'm crying ... Help!

You shouldn't hate your brother because of that. If he was mad and did it, then guess what? All brothers do that.. I once deleted something of my sister's because I got mad at her.. She was mad for awhile, then she got over it.

Also on my computer, you can make it where you can have your own desktop. The administrator or whatever can assign you one and have it password protected for you. My friend comes over all the time to use my computer and he has his own files and desktop on here. And mine and his are both password protected. You could try that.

Tell your parents what happened then try to get them to get you your own computer so you don't have to share. Also follow the instructions on how to undelete. Newer computers usually retain deleted files for thirty days. Check the trash bin and see if they are in the trash bin. If they are still in the trash bin you can retrieve them. When you do make back up copies. If you have the ports it might be a good idea to buy either a separate CD drive of 3 inch floppy drive if you have the ports. Then when you finish on the computer put everything on your CD or Disk. When you are ready to get off the computer plug your drive and take it with you so your brother can't get a hold of them.

You can try to undelete (restore) the folder. Search and find the Recycle Bin (may be under My Computer, My Network, etc.) and locate your folder or files that were in your folder, click on your folder/files and then click on "Restore". Tell your parents what your brother has done and how much school work he almost destroyed. They should handle your brother by gounding him from the computer and requiring him to apologize to you. Hope this helps. Also, in the future try to put your documents on a CD and keep it in your room. Good Luck!

Tell him about how you feel. Although what you need to tell him is harsh, he should get the message pretty quickly. Also if you printed out your homework or sent it to your email you can scan or re-copy it into your computer. Also you should create your own account on your computer and set a password. That way he will not be able to erase any of your things. Also all you should look in the trash folder in your computer. You might be able to retrieve your things.

I'm not exactly sure on how to retrieve your folder. I'm sure that there has to be a way? (I hope). But do not hate your brother. I used to say that allot to my brother, until the day that he died. Now I wish that I never said those things at all.

what did your parents say.
did you try to see if your things are in the trash bin. you may be able to find them there and put them back.
go and talk to your parents right now and tell them what happened. explain that you needed those things for school.
i'm sorry you are so upset. looks like you have good reason to be too.
i hope you can find your file and get your things back.

Check the recycle bin see if it is still there.
If it is right click and restore it.
Then password protect it so it can not be deleted again.
