don't you think that terrorists could be searching for information on this site? sensitive information like cockpit procedures regarding security, hi-jack procedures, etc. that only real pilots could give? what do you think?

Terrorists could be watching this site, but it wouldn't do them any good. Pilots are smart enough that none of us is going to divulge any sensitive information, especially in a venue such as this. Questions regarding security information will generally be ignored by professionals, or given very general answers, at best. The only people who are likely to provide any specific answers are "wannabees" who really don't know what they're talking about, so the answers they give will be useless (I've seen a fair amount of such "answers" here, in many categories). Remember, just because you see it on the internet, it doesn't necessarily mean it is correct.

You can know WHAT to do in the cockpit but in order to execute those maneuvers in complex airplanes, (ones that would seat lots of people) you would need to look through hundreds of switches and if you dont know where to look they your screwed... really, any procedure that I have seen described involves safely recovering from a potentialy bad situation which to me would be what I want the terrorists to do... now if we put out a procedure for a crash... well that would be: 1) Push Stick Forward 2) Wait several seconds... not to make fun but honestly it has taken me over 1000 hours to get where I am and i dont think that ANYONE could get there by reading about what people believe to be true about aviation as half the people that post as pilots are not really pilots at all.

No I dont think terrorists would waste their time to gather american opinions,

That is what this site should be called, Opinions, not Answers.

airline procedures are not only public knowledge, thru a FOI inquiry you can learn anything you want.

There are many sources to get sensitive information, I'm sure this is not the best source as the information are very limited.

The answers I give are general in nature, and in most cases easily found with a google search. If a question seems out of order, I ignore it.

Anything's possible these days. And, since too many Americans are very complacent about topics like security, I think it's quite possible.

I doubt it. And if they were, I doubt that pilots would give out sensitive information.

No respectable airline personnel would divulge security information.
