Media and the left for playing right into the Al Qeda/Insurgent play book. See editorial out of the Chicargo Tribune. What I note, is a lot of left administrations laying the ground work.

We know what Al Qaeda thinks when America retreats from the battlefield. They think we can't stomach a fight. This is why they haven't been afraid to strike us whenever they've had the opportunity. America slept through the first 22 years of this war:

- It began with the Iran hostage-taking in 1979;

- Then, on Oct. 23, 1983, the suicide attack on the Marine barracks in Beirut killed 241 American servicemen and injured 60 others;

- On Feb. 26, 1993, the first World Trade Center bombing killed six people and injured more than 1,000;

- On June 25, 1996, the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia killed 20 people and injured 372;

- On June 7, 1998, the Kenya embassy bombing killed 213 people and injured 5,000;

- on June 7, 1998, the Tanzania embassy bombing killed 11 people and injured 68;

- On Oct. 12, 2000, the USS Cole bombing killed 17 people and injured 39 people.

We all know what happened on Sept. 11, 2001: 3,000 people died.

Do we really believe that if we pack up now--if we abandon Iraq and leave the country in chaos--that our enemies will lay down their arms and leave us alone?

For too long, world leaders responded to terrorism by retreating and hoping for the best. In a post-Sept. 11 world, this is no longer an option. God forgive us that it took such a loss of life to open our eyes, but our eyes are opened. We are engaged in a global war now--a war for our very way of life.

The American people! U re-elected George Bush, while the outside world said No!

John Kerry should have been elected.

3 Thousand + American soldiers are dead! Countless wives and others left widows and children fatherless, thousands of others wounded, maimed, crippled for life. And not forgetting the many, many other soldiers of allied nations who also paid the same price - due to their Govt's support of Bush and Blair who with fabricated proof for reason, committed their own and other nations into the folly of an un-necessary War.

A War like Vietnam - that will never be won!

In this instance, as in all previous conflicts in the Middle East, Western democratic nations of Freedom, fighting to preserve the 1 family regimes of countries like Saudi Arabia and others!

There is not, nor will there ever be, freedom / democracy or whatever in the Middle East - the likes of Islamic Clerics will ensure it never happens as their only indoctrinated and uneducated millions will enhance it for them!

Time for a new President - & total withdraw from Middle East conflicts. Let Islamic dog eat dog!

All politicians in Washington, especially the Democrats, but the blame is not limited to them. When you deploy your military to war, you do it to win, you go in, you get the job done fast with the minimum of casualties on both sides, and when the job is done you leave. Politicians think that they know how to fight a war and they place overly restrictive rules of engagement on our fighting personel over seas. They are the ones that we have to blame for the failed Iraq war, not just Bush, not just the Republicans, not even just the Democrats, but all the politicians that think they know how to fight a war better than our generals. The reason we lost Vietnam is because of idiotic politicians, and the reason we have stagnated in Iraq is because of idiotic politicians.

Overall Bush and Rumsfeld.

They have not let the military do what they are capable of.

If we kept blowing the crap out of them instead of going to more of a police action this would have been over long ago and we could move on to other terrorist countries.

You can't show any mercy when fighting terrorism and that's what Bush is doing. Terrorists did not show any mercy on 911, when they hit the embassies, our military dorms in Saudi, or when they bombed the USS Cole.

So why should we show them any mercy because if we don't stop them, they will hit us again.

So Bush needs to untie our military's hands and let them kick some @$$.

Dumb@ss Liberal...

Im not even going to try to explain to you how the US Government works; Bush didnt decide to enter Iraq, CONGRESS did (CONGRESS; DEMOCRATS and Republicans). And as for the failing part; you explain to me how going into a country, taking down their murdering leader, taking out the enemys military, winning over 70% of the Iraqis to America's cause, setting up a new government, holding the country for 4 years, and having a casualty rate of 1:78 (Thats ONE American for every 78 Enemy Militants) is loosing?

Bush and the Neoconservatives who ignored the history books and thought (wrongly) that a viable secular democracy could be established in Iraq.
