I think black is a formal color. Perfectly fine for weddings. I've been in a wedding before with a black dress.

Think "special clothes". Depending on the season, your attire is likely to be lighter colored and a bit more casual that you might wear for an evening wedding. You can wear a nice dress, skirt or suit, and might opt for something comparatively colorful, or floral.

If the family/friends are known to be a bit more formal....lots of 'rules' are being broken or changed on weddings these days. If you get a chance, just double check with one of the gals in the party or the bride....for Tx. they do lots of weddings where everything is in black.... sounds good to me.

I went to a wedding today, and thought it best not to wear black...BUT I can tell you there were quite a few women wearing black skirts or dresses...so yes, I think it would be fine if you wear a black skirt.

Matched with a very pretty blouse sounds appropriate to me. Last year i went to a wedding where the woman wore something that to me, resembled a cat suit. that was all black but accesorized it with some very light floral print scarf and jewelry to offset the darkness- and she pulled it off fine.

certainly! you may desire to ward off donning all black, until eventually it incredibly is a sprint black costume and it is a night wedding ceremony. With the bright suitable, a black skirt is unquestionably positive.

Why not? I think a lot of tradional colors are becoming obsolete. It is about comfort and what you have. Unless the color is specified, you are safe.
