1. Report that incident to Yahoo Answers Team.
2. Run a Virus Scan on your entire computer.
3. Run an Anti-spyware program.

Some times the problem lies in the computer, not in Yahoo Login. A keylogger can be inserted in your computer and records everything you do, including credit card numbers and passwords.

If someone stole your Yahoo Id, call yourself lucky. The person could have gotten your Credit Card number, and go on a shopping spree at your expenses.

Yes it has happened to me.
I take it as a sign that I'm a threat to their narrow world view. Think of it as a badge of honor. All we have to do is look at the profiles and see who's date is earlier. Then we know the REAL Gandalf.

Yes, it has. They racked up a huge bill on my credit card and caused all sorts of grief and the police were no help.

Just change you password after you have run a check for a program that "phishes."

Oh yeah. EDIT: Change your name, avatar, or both. Perhaps report the cloner. That's about it.

Maybe, just this once, you could use the one ring? I'm sure Frodo wouldn't mind if you borrowed it for a while :)
