No,
During the windows install hardware specific files are copied to the system. If the other system runs enough to get on a network you can copy the win install from one to the other...but that won;t work cause theres hidden files on it. what you can do is swap the harddrive into the faster computhat arte missed sometimes.
what you should do is swap the harddrive from one system to the other. start it up and windows should load and detect alot of new hardware. then with the windows install CD or restore cd for your system get the files needed. after it reconfigs it should be ok...

If you have a Windows XP licence sticker on the older PC then you are entitled to remove XP from that machine and install it on the newer one. To do this easily you will need a copy of an XP disk (doesn't matter that it won't be an orginal as you have the licence).

This site looks like quite a good guide - http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxp_sg_clean.asp - there are looks on google if you search 'install xp'.

Albeint everyone probably hates microsoft, isn't scamming them illegal? You can't just transfer windows xp to your good computer very easily. If you have your cd and your cd key from when you bought it then you can just install it on the new one and use a thumbdrive, cd, dvds, or an external hard drive to transfer your files. That would be your best bet in my opinion.

You might be able to install backup software on XP and make a bootable backup of that operating system. If that works, then you should be able to use that backup to install XP on your other computer.
Personally, I think you should skip all the hassles and invest in a Mac. But, if this idea works, then I guess that's ok.
