I just got a new tattoo and I was wondering if it was a bad idea for me to move it around alot? Will that cause the scabbing to come off faster when it does (i only got it 2 nights ago)...thanks

no not all all. just make sure you use polysporin or ointment on it> it wont bother it if you move around alot

I have one on my left shoulder. If you just keep it moisturized, there shouldnt be a problem. the moisture keeps the scabs from cracking and bleeding out the ink. it also helps the healing process. Tattoo Goo is the brand I used and it worked wonders. There is a little bit of fading on the top of my shoulder, but I blame that on my own stupidity - I got it done during the summer and wore tank tops every day, exposing the tattoo to too much sun.

It's not like you injured yourself, it's a tattoo! It will be a little sore, maybe, but it's healing. Keep it moisturized and you'll be good. No reason to limit movement and such, though you may be more comfortable not sleeping on it for a week or so. Some clothing fabrics may irritate more than others. But really, just move like normal, it'll be fine!

You can move it all you want. Just keep it moist and don't pick if it scabs or the skins gets dry and flaky. Just add more polysporin and then use a good lotion, like Lubridurm. I have used these methods for my 4 tattoos and have had no problem.

I got one on my leg, right near my knee, and that obviously moves a lot. Just do whatever the shop has informed you to do, as far as ointments/ lotions etc. go, but movement should be OK. The day I got mine I was walking all over Toronto because we didn't even have a car with us.

you shouldn't have to limit your movement or anything BUT because it is on a place that moves while healing it may heal a little different and you'll possibly have to have it touched up sooner than you normally would.

well dont like move it too much or like fingernail it. leave it be for like 3 days or so so the ink can settle. if you cant resist, tie a cloth around it if its on ur arm/leg.

how is it moving around? where is it?
just leave it alone, and keep it moisturized. i used A&D ointment, and mine healed great. people usse different methods, just don't use vasoline. tats need to breathe, just don't cover it up, and DON'T SCRATCH. that will screw it up!
