I have a boyfriend and I still think about my ex. Is there something wrong with me. I dont want to think about him but he will just pop into my head. Its not like I think about him 24/7 but at least once a day. What can I do to get him out of my head/life? And is there something wrong with me to still be thinking about my ex?

There isnt anthing wrong with THINKING of your ex. Now if its excessive then yea, its wrong(but you said it wasnt). Depending on how long you were with your ex it may take months to a year. It also depends how long ago you broke up...if it was recent then you shouldve gave it a little more time before dating...if wasnt recent then you should accept the fact that you still think about em and it may make it easier to let go...enjoy your boyfriend:)

Well, to be quite honest, there is nothing wrong with you thinking about your ex. I have been married twice and going through my second divorce and I have a b/f. I talk about my first husband all the time. He was my first true love. We would still be together now had I not acted like a complete jerk when he tried to help me with my drug problem and I kicked him out.

My ex boyyfriend.....I still think about him. As a matter of fact, I still talk to him on the phone. I am trying to make it where we are friends, but my thoughts linger to another place in our relationship that we had and I think about how it was before I started listening to people who wanted to break us up. Well.......they succeeded. But, in all reality, the past is the past. You can't go back and change it.

You have a b/f now. You have to choose whether or not you want to stay with your current boyfriend or go back to your ex. You said you don't want to think about him. Is it because you feel loyal to your b/f? If that is the case, you can't do that. You have to follow your heart. If you are not truely happy, how do you expect to make someone happy?!

It seems to me that you need to do alot of thinking and decide which one of these guys make you truley happy.

I wish you good luck in everything you decide.

not at all, it's normal especially if you had a serious or extended relationship. i still think about a guy from 15 years ago, but that doesn't mean i love my husband any less or want that guy back. if you spend enough time with someone, they are difficult to forget.

you need to focus on the new, and forget about the old. if you are so serious about the new just resolve it with ex,and move on.
