My daughter has the same kind of hair so January she had it chemically straightened. It worked sort of 50% for her but has calmed the frizz and when she straightens it it only takes half an hour instead of two. Its like a reversed perm. She had it layered once and it looked worse. But any style will need cutting again every 4 to 6 weeks depending how quick your hair grows.

Hi i have thick hair and it only cost £5 for them to thin it with the thinning scissors. She use to do it everytime i had a trim or i felt like it was getting thick as you can tell when the thickness is back. I dont nesscary recoomend thinning as it did something to my hair after a while. I bought my own superdrug sell them but only do the underneath and not to much. The work for a while but i started to have layers put in to take out the thick ness. If you wear you hair staraight anyways get layers put in whilst you have your hair straight. Problemed solved.

I suggest going to a professional stylist and consult with them as to how much thinning you need and how often. many times if a stylist know that you will be coming to him or her for regular maintenance they'll usually discount their services to you. Depending on how fast your hair grows, I would think that you would have to return every 6 to 8 weeks. Most stylist consultations are free. Take advantage of that. Good luck.

it grows on average half an inch a month so most people have there hair cut every six weeks but having it thinned i would say every couple of months but it depends on you when it feels thick again go and speak to your stylist it hard to say without seeing it
