No, not everyone feels that valentines day is a gift giving holiday...some don't even view it as a holiday period.
Did he show affection to you or tell you that you mean a lot to him.
By being mad that he didn't get you anything you are just showing him that it's not about being with him that makes you happy but getting things from him. Take a step back and look at how materialistic you sound and maybe try and change your ways a bit. No guy wants to be with that type of girl, if you want to be with him, be with him b/c he makes you happy, not because he can buy you things.

It would seem that you have a problem. You may not be as disrespected as you feel. You may more than likely be disappointed. Tell your bf what you told me here on this site. Tell him what he didn't do and how this made you feel. If he gets the message you should get something better next year. Communicate your feelings, alot of guys don't know how to handle their feelings, in this case your bf could use your help.

Yes you do have the right to feel like that. I would feel the same way if my boyfriend did that. Even when he knew that you were getting him something. I dont think its right that he didnt get you anything and he knew that you got him something. I could understand if you both agreed that you werent going to get each other anything but he knew.

Not all boyfriends buy stuff for their girlfriends for Valentine's Day. But even though there's no presents, he still likes you. So don't get mad because he may get you a present sooner or later.

Valentines Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas....very special holidays....but with all the advertisements and pressures that holidays place on people are ruining it for what it really is about. Why is it when holidays roll around people expect more. Make every day special, make every day count.

Yes. My boyfriend and I met on V day, 7 1/2 years ago. We never met in person, (Only by phone), but he gave me a card, necklace, bracelet, and heart-shaped box of chocolates! We've been together ever since.

no. He might have that attitude that v-day is a commercialized holiday and if he wanted to give you a gift or say I love you, he didn't have to do it on a pre-selected day. My husband and I spend time together in place of getting each other something.

No. You should be pissed. I been dating several women and I got them all something. Not the same thing, depending on the amount of sex. If no sex they got a card. If sex was in the future they got candy. And one lucky lady got flowers. So I think your BF is a pig and if you want to dump him I still got some candy left-over.
