That's kind of funny! You (society) already are 'fired up' about it.

Teaching evolution is accepted and showed down our throats in schools while teaching the alternate, that God shaped our world through intelligent design and made the animals etc is prohibited even though it makes more sense.

And then they talk about the freedom western societies have. Very funny!

None of you evolution types have any clue as to how the complex codes found in DNA came to be. All you say is millions and millions of year. Nonsense in the extreme. What house is not constructed by someone?

Why cannot our scientist easily make new kinds of animals or flowers from scratch if nature does this so easily. Because nature is intelligent and used this intelligence to create all these marvel? That's what you imply!

Willfully you ignore that even today science copies many of natures ways of doing things. Why? Because these things are so haphazard or because they are at the very limit of what may be done scientifically?

A TV program was marveling about some dinosaur's teeth because it employed a technology that has just been invented a few decades ago--truly high tech. Where did the animal learn this trick from?

Truly blind are what you all are.

You have some of the most interesting Q's and A's.
I really enjoy reading your thoughts and opinions, very thout provoking!
I think if evolution is a part of being Athiest, then why not get fired up about it. We all know every other "group" gets fired up!
Nothing gets me more fired up than a good debate on religion, so lets have a go! lol

Ah, Fuzzy.

You wrote: "None of you evolution types have any clue as to how the complex codes found in DNA came to be."

Do you understand that by "you evolution types" this includes that vast vast majority of people who have PhD.s in things like genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, and all branches of biology? None of them "have any clue"? Of course they do ... a great deal more than "a clue."

"Why cannot our scientist easily make new kinds of animals or flowers from scratch if nature does this so easily. "

Because it's hard. So what? So is making a star or a planet, but that doesn't mean we don't know how stars or planets form. So is making an electron, but that doesn't mean we know nothing about electrons ... you and I and every eyeball reading these words are communicating with electrons right now. We can't *make* an electron, but we know an awful lot about how it works. Same with a cell. Same with a living organism. It is logical nonsense to suggest that because we can't make something "from scratch" that we know nothing about it.

And it is also logically bizarre to suggest that because we can't make animals and flowers, that therefore nature must be "intelligent." Where does that leap of logic come from?

"A TV program was marveling about some dinosaur's teeth because it employed a technology that has just been invented a few decades ago--truly high tech. Where did the animal learn this trick from?"

From EVOLUTION.

YES!!! Please do get fired up about it. Please study the evidence for evolution very very carefully, just like Christians, Jews, Bible researchers and translators study the Bible and Ancient Scriptures very carefully. Then you will discover that some of the "evidence" for evolution doesn't fit the theory.
For example, don't look at those dinosaur bones at the bottom of the fossil record to closely, dinosaurs should have evolved last... Oh, sorry, you want to get fired up and look carefully at the evidence.
And you won't look at Haeckel's ink drawings because he faked them ... oh, sorry, I forgot you wanted to do the research yourself. Also, when you get fired up you won't be allowed to talk about simple cells, the most simple "simple" cell is more complex than your computer, so you have to talk about complex cells; and, of course, you would need to discard the famous ...

No, Wait, Sorry, No you mustn't do that, you might just discover you've been deceived.

You are right, you mustn't carefully study the evidence for Evolution and get all fired up, as you said, that would be silly, very very silly. Whatever you do, don't start to critique Evolution, the Evolutionists won't appreciate your efforts.

As you said, you'd rather have someone kid you than discover the truth.

Well even though you are kidding about this there is a reason why people should be fired up about God and not evolution. Evolution isn't real and can't be proved.

Jim, I'm fired up about God, Jesus, Evolution, String theory, M theory, cosmology, the soul, eternal life, parallel universes, and a whole lot of other things. What breaks my heart is why everyone seems to be closed to the idea that they are mutually inclusive. Sometimes all of us including me seem to think what we know is the sum total of all knowledge, and that is not the case.

Well, I'll be a proponent of evolution against moronic creationism any time.

However, believing in "god" and "jesus" is not the opposite of evolution.

ALL Catholics believe in evolution, why? Perhaps the church is so old, it evolved with the times better than
Fundamentalism belief in the bible.
And All Jews, that I know of anyway, believe in Evolution, why? Because they of all people should know THEIR holy book is meant to be taken metaphorically and as poetry in most cases.

So, really, only the bible thumper Americana Fundamentalist/Evangelicals believe in taking the bible literally.

Let them stay stupid, who cares?

It seems some do. Then we have to argue what is evolution is it macro or micro is abiogenesis a part of it, is it linear or branching, does one species change to another or do many form at once and some die out and others continue. It is a very broad field and encompasses so many things today that you can argue half a day on just what it covers.

of course we need to get fired up about evolution. it was our first scrap of evidence that god does not exist. if we don't get fired up and start having rallies and crap then the religious people will continue to rule the world. we need to get courts to admit that evolution is a fact so that it can properly be taught in schools, instead of just having it in one chapter of a science book. we need to make every person on the planet aware of the irrefutable evidence behind evolution. my friends IT IS TIME WE KILLED THE IMAGINARY CREATURE SO COMMONLY CALLED GOD!!!
