My guy friend broke up with his galfren last year and still thinks about the break-up n is totally devastated about it. We become close all of a sudden. we talk over the phone everyday, we talk about a lot of things. i started liking him but im not sure from his side, he calls me"Love" n really cares for me , recently when i asked him; ' Who am i to you?' he told me.. " he will let me know when he figures out himself who am i to him" when normally his answer would be "You are my friend" Does that mean he like me too? i really really like him n love him alot!!

Remember this breakup was devasting for him so take it slow,be there for him.Give him time to figure it all out.Then he will tell you how he feels for you.It sounds like he likes you but is confused,and he couldnt give you an answer just yet.Be there for him and be patient.I wish you well.All good things come to those who wait.

That means he does have feelings for you but does not want to put you in the middle of the feelings he still has for his ex. I recently went through a similiar situation, and she scared me off because she wanted more than I could give at that time.
Its rather admirable that he would rather not pursue something with you (like a quick one night stand) when he knows he still has feelings for the other. Give him time and dont pressure him. He will get over her, and if its meant to be with you it will happen at the right time. For now, keep him as a friend, but not too friendly where you cross the line that it is too late for a relationship.

well to me he sees you as a friend, a really good friend that he can depend on, but since you really really like him you might view him differently, if u look from his point he might know how u feel and think of you as like a bff.
Why dont u ask him how he feels about u?

i think this is the process of developing love ( you fell in love with slowly and maybe he also likes you) he sures to love you but if he is a guy like me. well i tell you don't always believe that he is in love with you cause maybe he uses you to learn more about girls. but who knows he might also be in love with you.

he is just a friend and he told u that indirectly so as not to hurt u ,time will show everything just dont take any further step with him or he will think u cheap.
