Vague question...you might want to try rewording it and giving more detailed information...not enough information given to form an answer

hey, dude. I grew up not very far from Peoria, and i was able to pursue a career in music and singing. get involved in school plays and shows. there are also local community theater stuff there; get involved. get voice lessons. become involved in music in your church. there are also local ad agencies who produce commercials (look in the yellow pages). get some photos taken, and maybe a dvd of you singing, and get yourself in the door. YOU'VE got to take the action. ps. Peoria's not THAT small. BUT, also be prepared to do something else to earn a living. only a very small percentage of actos/singers make a full time living. OK? go for it!!! and good luck.

Dear Zach
Even Peoria has a local theater group -- volunteer to work the crew to earn your stripes and then work your way in.

Video cams are so cheap -- try your hand at making films with your friends -- and then post on U-tube.

the old Nike thing "just do it" can be your motto.
