I have no idea. About half the guys I knew in the Navy back then thought Vietnam was a strategic blunder and a huge, pointless waste. I don't think anyone is making fun of Vietnam era vets.

I also served in Vietnam, I was in southeast Asia off and on from 1960 -1963, prior to the massive build up of troops. I was in the AF at the time. Vietnam was a time when young Americans were asked to fight a non winable war. Our nation fell apart during those difficult years. Our young men and women who gave up their cushy soft life styles here to go to Nam and risk/give their lives became the point of focus for the hatred of the discontent of the nation. It has not stopped to this day. Most of the people in government are from that era and the liberal jacks/janes are the worst types that this nation has produced in its hundreds of years of being. They are destroying this nation day by day. My heart goes out to each and every person who has put their lives on the line for freedom, or for what their hearts told them was freedom. You my friend/brother are only one of many who are still paying this price. I remember the spit, paint, and much worse things thrown on our young returning from Nam. I remember the John Kerrys. Young officers who wrote their own medal documents. Those who now aspire to destroy everything we fought for. Keep your head up and your heart strong. You have nothing to be ashamed about. Those people are just showing their A--ess. Keep the faith in this nation. Get the word out to all of your friends how the Lilly livered left liberals and panty waist republicans are against all you believe in and have fought for.
Yours in heart and soul,
The Hisemiester

I don't understand your question. But I hope you know that there are countless people out here who appreciate all the sacrifices that you all made. Too bad that the ones we hear the loudest are always the very vocal uneducated minority who wouldn't know the meaning of service, dedication, valor, honor and patriotism and selflessness if it bit them in the rear. Thank you for your service.

Always remember there are people who experienced the pain of that war and will never let up on lashing out against anything connected with Vietnam. Be proud you served. Remember those who gave there life.

I care, you fought for our country at a young age as well, these young kids of today have no idea, and further more they don't want to learn about it. I'm not sure who was poking fun at Vietnam Vets, but there are alot of us out here that would like to say," Thank You, for defending our country!!!"

Thank you for your service to this country.

It is disgusting that Bush has been cutting benefits to veterans like you who served with honor.
