HELL! YEAH! When I install Limewire i always tell ppl, "When your done downloading songs, may sure to turn this off twice!" Limewire is a resource hog! So i say get on, then get off! Get your music, then get off! U should invest in limewire pro! Much better searches, much faster! SAME RESOURCE HOG!!!! Its not only you, trust me it slows down all computers.... some computers are just overall faster, so it might not be as noticable, email me for more info on getting pro....

Yes lime wire does slow you down.Here is a little tip you might want to consider.When down loading from lime wire,I suggest you run your defense frequently.Lime wire is noted for having viruses and worms on it.Being slow is a good sign that you may be infected.I hope this is not the case with your system.We have 4 separate systems in our home.2 of these systems have crashed and the Techs told us that we got our bugs from ,Yeah lime wire

No, I actually fell that it speed up my net activity.
Ah yes, it does slow down the computer a tiny bit but I guess if you have a computer with more than 256 mb RAM, you shouldn't complain.
