i have trouble saying i love you. I have very strong feelings for this guy and i really think im in love with him and hes said i love you to me on IM and i kind of felt awkward saying i love you even though i really did. I eventually said it but is it possible that i love him but just have a problem showing/saying it?
i have no problem saying it to people i dont really love. or when i dont mean it. or just saying it casually.
i said it back. and i know i meant it, but i just fell awkward saying it!
i felt it before he said it too i just didnt want to say it because of the awkwardness of it all.
and he has said it to my face i was entering the house as he said it and didnt react, he though i didnt hear him.

You need to let your guard down and tell him how you feel.
You find it had because your opening yourself up and when you do you could get hurt but, you need to open up and tell him.

sorry in advance for the long answer this is just a touchy subject for me.
listen you hold on to that word if it makes you feel better.
i have a problem with it too.
i thought i was in love with someone for two years.
and let me tell you in the blink of an eye, i went from everything to nothing.
so what i thought was 'love' was only the superficial feeling of 'like alot'
i cried when he cried, i laughed when he laughed, i 'loved' when he loved. and now i sit here wondering what was i dong? why did i put myself out there, only to get slapped in the face.
i am better for it now, but it still stings.
i know that i just vented my frustrations, and gave you a glimpse of me, is all.
and that really wasn't an answer.
but why be disingenuous?
if you don't truly 'feel' the love it is better to NOT say it that to say it and not mean it.
i hope that if you feel the love that you don't hold back, because the 'L' word is an important thing to some people. and if they don't hear it they become discouraged.
i myself would rather feel it any day over hearing it.

This is the problem with IM and Text messages. People are learning not to communicate face to face. He feels the same or he wouldnt have IM'd it. It always feels awkward to tell someone you love them for the first time. JUST DO IT. If you feel it, say it.

saying i love you is a big step, but even more so if you really really mean it. being casual, like "luv ya" doesn't really imply deep committment. "i love you, too" always seems awkward at the beginning of a relationship, and that's probably because one might just be responding in kind. if you mean it, it really shouldn't feel awkward.

while it is nice to hear you dont really need to say it --- if you are on the same wavelength then he knows just as you know he loves you --- my lady and i may be separated by 15,000 km we KNOW how feel about each other without saying it (we have said it) ---- so dont worry just let the relationship mature and see what happens
