Probably not , which is sad for him as I think it was probably his last chance. He has been around for a bit now and I don't think he will enter the tour again if he doesn't think he has a chance of winning.

Guilty or not? as a qualified Biochemist I know the pitfalls of drug testing and think there is still a lot that needs to be done to clear up these anomalies that keep arising.I am all for drug testing as I despise the cheats who took the piss out of me when I raced.I don't think cycling should have a bad name though for drugs. It is just that it all coming out now.Other sports all have the same problem it is just that cycling is tacking it now.

Whatever happens I think we have got a brilliant Tour ahead this year with a wide open field, lots of mountain top finishes, loads of drama and it starts in London.Who wins will probably be down to who has a good or bad day and who has enough mental resolve to win!

I think that in today's sports world getting caught is the first possible indication of innocence. People who cheat can beat the system, but people can all too easily fall foul of the laws.
I think he needed to win that uphill stage (not his forte) to have any chance of realising everyone's expectations of him; he probably took some supplements, an energy drink and a power bar. All of which he knew had chemicals that though legal were in a 'grey area' of the law. His body did the rest and produced it's own banned substances.
The time has pretty much passed when drug testing needs a complete overhaul.
We know of the innocent who have been banned and the guilty who have not, and having either a positive or negative test is meaningless to the vast majority of fans.

This years tour, probably not - is he guilty? who knows, the question has become a political one both for the sport and the drug testers. So we'll probably never know.

I don't know. Let's give him the benifit of the doubt unless he is proven guilty. I would like to see Jan to ride in this year tour as he is one of the icon in cycling. Lets take a look at him how well he perform without Lance his main rival.

Jan defintely took a lot of other drugs, but not performance enhancing. He will not be in the TDF, but youll see him in other races this year.

Simon hit the target!
I would just say the same as he has.

Hope we see Ulrich in the Tour a great competitor that will give the race more flare.

Tea, TNT, Tee off the Olympians. Listen T I have provided you with the best stuff on 31000 dockets this week alone. What am I tempted to take, compared to those tenderloin steaks, ostrich eggs and space bunnies. For 50 million I got the check, and the paddlewheel. Keep the rumors off of the business package, I will continue with the deliveries.

I think it would be hard to find many pro cyclists that have NOT taken drugs to help them, some get caught others don't. I hope he dose ride the tour!
