I'm not a christian but the bible says that a lie is a lie. Peter lied to the pharisees and told them that he did not even know his own lord Jesus God forgave him. But he did it to save his own life. You know with in your own mind that it is sin to lie about anything. No matter the size or the place of the lie it's still a lie in gods eyes.

What does it matter where you lie, on-line or off line? It's still a lie.
Yes, to lie to save a life is a sin; but all the people would do it, and they all can ask for forgiveness later. It would be proper and humane.

It would depend on the intentions of your heart at the time of both the internet and the end of your life incident.
It is best to not say someone is lying because you will never know their true intention for doing or saying what they have done or said. Try not to judge,or justify any ones reasons for anything,this even includes yourself.Mainly yourself!!
