I had 2 tbs olive oil and about 6 oz of water yesterday to help things move a bit more smoothly, first time I've tried this method. This morning I noticed some mucous on the stool and I was just wondering if this could be caused by the oil. I never noticed it before that. I don't believe I have IBS as I rarely have diarrhea. The other one I'm concernced about is an obstruction, however I don't have severe pain or cramps, loss of appetite, naseau or vomiting.

(I know this is no way to obtain a medical opinion, I would just like some input, if anyone has experienced this before.)

I have had mucus once before, it could come from the oil, but if it doesn't continue I wouldn't worry about that. For proper elimination drink first thing in the morning a glass of warm water with a half a lemon squeeze, no sugar. Drink 8 glasses of water a day. And there's no obstruction without pain or gross discomfort. You might want to try a Glycerin suppository or a fleet enema, this will at least start the bowel moving. After you are normal again, drink the lemon water, it will make your liver and kidneys loving you.
