For the last few weeks, in an attempt to improve my general fitness, I have taken to running on a treadmill. Speed and distance varies, but I usually do around 20-30 minutes a day at an average of around 6.5 km/hr. It is definitely improving my fitness level.

For those who hit the treadmills for general fitness, how fast do you go, and for how long do you run for?

Hello there
my advice to you is that do other exercises with resistance before you engage on a thread mill
A 20- to 30 mins is good however you should increase the kilometers instead.
It varies with certain individuals depending on their capacity.
if your use to 20-to 30 mins then i say stick with it...
i guess the best way to increase your workout is to try to increase your distance...

hey, good to see you started exercising. when i do run, i go based on distance rather than time. i run about 3-5miles at 5.6 to 8mph. If you would like to improve with your stamina and endurance, start with interval training. hope this helps
