oh my god i have exactly the same thing!
a pharmacist friend said i should see a doctor but in the meantime i'm using a simple eye moisturiser which seems to have improved things.
you have to apply it very often though, i used to only apply it twice a day and it never did anything, but i've upped the frequency and it's looking a lot better.
i even wore make-up on thusrday night and my eye only swelled a little bit :)
so yeah try boots fragrance free eye moisturiser, it's only about 2 quid, and see what it does for you. then see your doctor :)

I scratched my eye on an apple tree, causing an injury to the corner of eye. Doctor gave ointment, but it has given me a dry eye, and it seems to take ages to heal, and now it sounds funny but it has now made the other eye dry. each morning it seems as if I have a film over it until I bathe it out.Apparently a small piece of dirt, or alien object, can cause a small scratch on the eyeball, thus the body trying to heal it dries out the area. Go to the Doctor, as it can lead to something nasty, better to be safe,

It could be Conjunctivitis. Or you may be suffer-ring from Dry Eye.
Either way it would be best to see the Doctor

It sounds like conjuctivitous. Go to your doctors who will give you a prescription for drops or cream and wash your eye in tepid salt water on cotton wool.

You must be pressing your eyetoo much on your pillow.
Like when you turn on your right and sleep on that side all night this might happen. Check your sleeping habit..
