I don't really know other than class rooms or job interviews. It isn't really banned from these two places, it's just a good idea not to chew it there.
As for geographical places, I have no idea!!
Wow! What does China, specifically Singapore have against chewing gum? Sure it can get stuck in/on things such as shoes, carpet, hair, clothes but is that worth giving up the revenue from selling it. Not to mention the enjoyment and stress relief thousands would get from chewing it!!
I just did a web search on the subject~not only is it banned in Singapore but people can be fined &/or put in jail for smuggling it in!! They will only allow gums such as Nicorette to be used and the person will have to have a prescription for it. But tourists are allowed to bring in a FEW sticks of gum for theirselves.Singapore wants to keep it off of their streets & subways!
