he was brilliant, i had them done before but they told me things i did not understand but this one was spot on, anybody else had a really good reading?

You were lucky to have a good one she/he must have been a good psychic as there are so many who just tell you what you want to hear. A note to STEPHANIE - don't mix up that it is usually psychics and not mediums who read tarot, therefore it does not always come from spirit. There is a difference - not everyone who is psychic has been given the gift of mediumship (contact with spirit). Some mediums do use tarot, or coloured ribbons etc. as a starting point to make that first contact with the spirit realms. I, personally, as a medium myself, contact spirit direct - no tools! Psychics use their six sense or heightened awareness.

I had a really bad few readings and am reticent to go back for another, which makes me sad because I really do believe in Spirit and know that they are around me. There are so many cranks out there that it is hard to know who is doing it because it's their path in life or because they are out to con you. A lot of tarot card readers do something called 'cold read' which is a special skill used on clients involving body language, the 'this or that' line of qustioning to cover more options (e.g. 'you've either recently moved jobs or you will be thinking of doing so'... or .... 'can you take the name John or Jack?' and if you say no, they say 'well, be aware of that name because it's going to be important in the future...'). I'm a New Age Christian and my boss is an Old School Conservative Christian. The only time I had my cards read was right before I went to work for him and everything has come true in my career life. I think that God can use anything for Good.

I have had many accurate reading and also do readings myself...
no they dont belong in the Myth and Folklore section...
but perhaps they do belong in the *other science * section along with metaphysics , as they are not part of religion ... although many pagan/new age religions practise with tarot and they take things a bit more seriously there .... but its always quiet lol
but yes there are some amazingly accurate readers out there

You are not supposed to have another person read for you. The cards are a sort of personal thought and meditation...they do not tell the future. Anyone who charges you for their opinionds s exploiting the true meditative learning process that only you can relate to your life and then ponder what they might be leading you ti interpret. Meditation and thought develpoment...no future told crap.

Stay away from psychics as it is only going to do you more harm that good. They lie to you to get money, and as a christian I am going to tell you they get their powers if they have any at all they get it from satan. It is not from God.
