Don't waste your time calling back. This is a new scam by call centres. When they ring you and hang up, they know you will most probably ring the number back. When you do, they say thay you must be interested in their products to have rung back. Then they start their spiel. You are then paying for the call because you rang them.

It's easy to remember as you work you way down the left hand side of the gate for 1471.

Dial 1471 to see who called you. They may have withheld their number. If the number starts with 070, DON'T call it back - it will cost you an absolute fortune!!!

In the UK it's 1471, but it will only work if the person didn't withhold their number.

im with bt and use 1471. if somebody wants to hide their number though thry can dial 141 before the number they dial so sumtimes its pretty useless.
