Many shampoos are good for repairing hair and getting rid of dandruff but i suppose some may dry out and damage the hair.
However colouring and heat styling hair is probably the main reason it gets damaged.

Shampoo is a detergent designed to remove the oil and dirt from your hair. Many brands claim they do one thing and other brands claim another. The cheap shampoo is just as good as any other to get your hair clean. There are some products you can put on your hair to help it stay looking good. Most of them are an oil of one type or another. Massaging the scalp to bring out the natural oils will do more good than anything you can buy.

What you eat and your health have mire to do with healthy hare than anything else.

If you rinse well shampoo shouldn't create dandruff. Some conditioners have wax in them (the cheaper conditioners) that make it seem as though you have dandruff when it's actually the wax flaking of your hair and scalp.
